Is this really part of health & fitness? Yes.

Let’s optimize The Mission Briefing for YOU!
This newsletter community has doubled in size in the last 6 months and I want to ensure I’m continuing to write and deliver tips that are impactful for the season of life you’re in and the roles you hold. Mind taking a minute (if you haven’t already) and answering the following:
Family discipleship isn’t optional. It’s a command. But it’s time we make it easy and accessible for every father!
When people think about health and fitness, they rarely include spiritual health in that category. Even more rarely do they think about including their family’s spiritual health.
God didn’t create beings that could compartmentalize the elements of their life very well. We often think we can address one without the other, but the truth is, eventually we’ll meet roadblocks when trying to improve aspects of life in isolation.
Integration is the way to maximize and optimize our health in every area, otherwise, you’ll wind up playing a game of whack-a-mole and shifting your focus back and forth, preventing long-term sustainability and growth in every area.
It’s for that reason I wanted to take a hard right turn from our usual types of health and fitness tips, and address an aspect of health that is often avoided or just flat-out confusing to many fathers.
Family worship and discipleship.
Many of you know, but I spend a chunk of my time each week supporting my friends Jon Tyson and Jefferson Bethke in their ministry ‘Forming Men’. One of our initiatives is supporting fathers with year-long discipleship pathways they can use to take their teenage sons through rites of passage.
One of the most common questions I get, however, is “What about if your sons are much younger? What should we be doing with them now since they’re not ready for that formal program?”
My answer is always: family worship.
So today I’m going to unpack for you how our family handles this and provide you access to what we use.
The good news is, we keep it simple. So let’s dive in.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
