Jesus was not weak.
Now I think most of us would say that’s absolutely true, but most men in turn probably haven’t thought deeply enough about the topic and it likely doesn’t inform the way they live.
The Church today focuses all of their attention on the majority of their attendees. Who happen to be about 70% women. Whether intentionally or not, the discussions about Jesus, the music we sing and the theology that is taught, all centers around the soft, gentle, and patient Jesus.
Hear me out, those things are true about Jesus. He is soft, gentle, and patient.
But as we discussed in last week’s issue, He is also fierce, violent, and dangerous.
And today, I’d like to make the case for how strong, fit, and healthy Jesus was. To show you how there is good reason to believe that Jesus was a physical specimen (along with most other men) in the 1st century. I’ll be pulling from the scriptures and historical evidence to back up my case.
